I've been attempting to open a Master combination lock with this method for the past 24 hours unsuccessfully. My lock does have a key hole on the back of it, not sure if this is true with all Master Combination locks. Is it potentially a different version and this method is incompatible?

It worked for me on a master lock. It didn't work on a generic lock made in China, though.

I unlocked it the first time but immediately forgot it so I have to do it again 😢

The center of the dial on my lock says ‘Club’. I’m thinking it isn’t a Masterlock. I’ve tried the method a few times, but my execution could easily be the problem. I know that 26 is the third digit (the sticker is still partially readable on the back). Any advice beyond getting a new lock? 😅

So that's how that scumbag thief opened my gym locker at the club, and stole my debit and credit cards out of my wallet! 🤬 He replaced my lock like nothing happened, and I had no clue anything was wrong until I got home, and saw the voicemail from my bank regarding a suspicious transaction! Then I discovered my cards missing. I was able to contain the damage quickly and get refunded. But I'm still traumatized.

Bobby, I have 2 of these locks in my tool box. Using your technique I was able to open one of them. The other one, not so much. I may have to contact Master Lock and send them a picture of the lock and the serial number. Thanks for making your video!

Technically these lock combinations are always either three odd numbers, or three even numbers. The difference between first and third number will always be a multiple of 4. The difference between the first and second number and the second and third number, will always be a multiple of 2 but NOT a multiple of 4. In this case you got 5 - 32-18. 5 shouldn't be odd, it should be even, and since the tolerances on these locks are not great, it's probably one off from the actual first digit. 32 and 18 are 14 away from each other (a multiple of 2 but not a multiple of 4). That's good. 5 and 32 are 27 away from each other. They should probably be 28 apart so most likely the "official" first number of this combination is 4. And since the first and third number should be a multiple of 2 apart, but not a multiple of 4, if the first number is 4, then 18-4 = 14 which is indeed a multiple of 2 but not a multiple of 4. You can see when he's looking for the third number, he says to go back 2, then go back 4 each subsequent time. that's the (multiple of 2 but not a multiple of 4) rule. BTW going back 2, that number will NEVER be the third number. the 2nd and 3rd number cannot be only 2 apart from each other. Not sure why maybe it's the internal mechanism of the lock. 4-32-18
